I hope you enjoy looking at the things I have stitched over the years. Posting at this site has been a lot of fun. The bonus that no one told us when it comes to our stitching is the friendships that are made!

Count Twice

I used DMC for the face and hands and DMC Color Variation for the baskets, hair, etc. I used overdyed floss that my sis and I played around with with great results. I don't recall what the fabric could be. Paulette Stewart's company name is Plum Street Samplers.

From the Feb 07 Just Cross Stitch magazine. Stitched with DMC Color Variations, 2 DMC greens and DMC 712 #12 perle. Stitched on 28 count "coffee" material. I think it's either Jubilee or Jobelan, but more likely Jubilee. The design called for 2 ply 712 floss. Didn't like the look so cut it out and replaced it with the perle.

This wee kit was a gift. The kit included the fabric, beads and flower button. I used DMC floss. Started Jan. 2/14 and finished Jan. 3/14. Don't have a clue how I'll finish it up at this time.

Stitched on 32 count Belfast linen with floss I picked out. Finished it about an hour before midnight New Year's Eve. Watch out for that bottom border. It's not the same as the top nor is it the same as in the picture. From 2011 Just Cross Stitch Special Ornament book. Cynthia Daly Bradford is Little by Little Design Co.

Aren't they sweet? The piece of 18 count dove grey Davos was large enough to stitch two; one for my DIL and one for me. Used gold blending filament instead of 413 for her dress and 221 instead of 413 again for the sleees. From book 30 from 1986 "Gentle Harvest". They'll be made into little ornament pillows.

Another piece I had started and put aside. This kit came with 2 pieces of linen and Soie d'Alger silks from Keinik. I'm going to stitch one of the bands on the plain piece of linen before finishing it up as the accent.

A friend told me about these free charts at Sharon Bennett's blog. She's also known as Daffycat and has offered these reindeer over the years. Stitched on Amber 28 count linen using DMC floss. This one is going to have a fancy edge and made into a bellpull.

A friend told me about the Daffycat blog last year. If you asked you got a free chart. The Tree Reindeer is this year's free one. Sharon kindly flipped the 2012 for me. Stitched on overdyed 18 count fabric with DMC floss. My friend finishes things so nicely, so I'm letter her finish it up the way she wants. Anxious to see the result.

I just picked floss colours I had on hand from other Christmas projects instead of the called for GAST threads. Used 32 count Lambswood linen. Haven't decided if it's to be framed or made into a small pillow.

The moment I saw this chart, I ordered it from my LNS. I used DMC floss tweeded for the house and the blue/black border around the words. Used solid DMC for the deep rose flowers and the vine. Also used some Valdani threads that I had on hand. Stitched on 32 count fabric from an estate that had a bit of stitches completed that I removed. This is a newer designer. Enjoyable stitch too. Do you see the date? 11/12/13

This was my Sunday project for a long time. Finished it this past Sept. Sandy Orton from Kooler Design Studio did the adaptation. Used the DMC threads from the kit and the 28 count fabric. They were quite skimpy with the fabric. The words prompted me to buy the kit.

Another Beyond Cross Stitch kit from Victoria Sampler using all the items in the kit. I suppose you could call these samplers in a way as they are a sample of various stitches.
