A Celtic Cross from the book "Celtic Cross Stitch: over 40..."

I switched up the colours to an 800 series to give it a more earthy tone instead of the cold stone colours it called for.
Unsure on how I want to finish this.

A bookmark as per my "sneaky return" with my Lost Wife library book.

Another bookmark for my 'sneaky library return'. I hope the bookmarks are actually bringing whimsy to the next in line reader.

From the book "Celtic Cross Stitch: over 40...." By Anne Orr and Leslie Clarke.

The wrong colour key was given for this project so it gives the finished product a more cold stone look (using 600's grey tones) instead of the warmer look of that illustrated in the actual book (which probably used the 800's brown/taupe tones). When I go to stitch the larger cross later on I shall use the latter for key codes.

Pattern is found in Issue 154 of World of Cross Stitiching magazine.
I like reading and we have only a small library so many of our books need to come upon request from other small town libraries. This bookmark was made to accompany a certain book and upon returning the book - I also included this gift, tucked inside the pages for the next reader to use.

Autumn Reflections

Designer: Dot Young
Subject: Seasons - Autumn
Status: Complete
Posted: February 15, 2014
Stitched For: Family
Finished As: Picture (Framed)

My husband requested his bday cross stitch be of something with autumn coloured trees because his favorite time was our wedding (which happened in the fall).

It's a 1989 leaflet (#3 - of the Four Seasons Series).

The pattern itself is missing stitches that it shows in the cover display. I just followed the pattern without adding the corrections.

Finished As: Picture (Framed)

Stitched for my MIL's birthday, this has all of the grand children's names and dates of birth in each of the hearts. I added a charm that says '#1 Grandma' on it (at the suggestion of my husband) to the empty heart space. Originally I was just going stitch the word "reserved" into it until either my one of my Sister in laws had another baby. ;)

Pattern can be found in Issue 177 of Cross Stitch Crazy Magazine (June 2013)

My dad came up with a little ditty he wanted displayed in one of his outhouses on the acreage for when family come to camp. I looked through many different magazine prints I had and couldn't find the perfect image I wanted to us to go along with it so I had to craft this little bum warmer myself using my PCStitch program.

Wedding Dress Abstract

Designer: Y. Niu
Subject: Occasions - Wedding
Status: Complete
Posted: October 30, 2013
Stitched For: Family
Finished As: Picture (Framed)

Stitched for my cousin Aimee & her new husband Dan.

Congratulations!

Done on "Sky" cloth, it makes it a little hard to see the silhouette of the dress unless in certain light. They had their wedding outside in the mountains & she was very retro-beauty for her dress style.
Pattern was purchased from off of Etsy.
