Does anyone know if there is a list of the old DMC colors with as close of a match as there is in the new numbers. I am aware they did away with some numbers but I am having trouble finding matches. I am not looking for a specific one,but the new patterns use the 3000 numbers and I have mostly older floss.

If you life in North America, DMC did NOT discontinue any colours. Go to their stie and get the complete list or visit your LNS and pick up one of the DMC lists from them. Go to top

DMC has a real nice color Card either with the numbers and colours or the one
with the samples of the real floss. Go to the DMC website and they have a phot od it.

Hope this will help you. Good Luck Lucienne Go to top

It may be hard to find DMC color cards with actual thread samples. I heard that they were not going to make them anymore. So, if you see one you better snatch it up! Go to top

The DMC Color Chart with the actual samples of floss is my most valuable cross-stitch item! I purchased it a number of years ago at Michaels using a 40% coupon so it was not too expensive. The only thing I see not is the Color Card with only a picture of the color - which is not too accurate. It's better than nothing, I guess. Yes, I would "snatch it up" (the Sample variety) if I ever saw it.
