Can someone help me with half stitches? What does it mean when there are 2 symbols in a square such as */=. Do I use a stand of each color? Does half stitch always go in the direction of the line in the square?

Usually when there are two symbols in a square it means quarter stitches rather than two different colours of floss. If two different colours of floss are used (blended) they tell you that in the instructions. Go to top

Usually what the */= means is that there are indeed two different colors used, and use the same amount of threads you're currently using (ie: 2 or 3 strands). What the / means is that either there will be backstitching there or you will need to 'cross' that juncture with one of the two colors you're using. I hope this helps. James Go to top
