How to store a finished heirloom stocking

I have completed an heirloom Christmas stocking in cross stitch and would like advice on how to safely store during the year.

    Your Christmas Stocking needs to be wrapped in Acid-Free Tissue Paper and stored in an Acid-Free Box. In order for it to not get crushed, fill the stocking with the tissue also. In fact, any stitched piece that has not been framed should be stored in this manner.
