i bought some floss from someone who knew nothing about what they were selling. some of them say American Thread Co. star six strand on them. they each have a number for their color, but i cant find ANY info on them. does anyone know more about this company?

    American thread went out of business many years ago.
    They were bought out by another company. I may be wrong, but, I think they were bought out by Coats. The tread you have is probablly 20 years old. There are no color charts available for them. The best thing to do would be to visually match them to DMC using their color card. I did some resaerch on the company that was very interesting. I will see if I can find it again and post it.
