Anchor to DMC Conversions

Getting ready to start a new project and it's in Anchor. I tried converting the colors to DMC with great success, but a couple of the colors in Anchor come out to the same color in DMC. Any tips on how to deal with this? Is it just a known hazard of doing the conversion?

    Nikki,
Which colors are coming up the same? I have the Anchor floss card and will check with that to see if there are better matches. If so, I'll update the conversions on my site.

I've got Anchor # 367 and 372 both coming up as DMC# 738. I also have Anchor #253 with no equivalent. Go to top

      Nikki,
Unfortunately, DMC 738 is the closest color for both Anchor 367 and Anchor 372. I did double check other sites and they came up with the same results. However, you could substitute DMC 739 which is a light tan. For Anchor 253 I came up with DMC 472 from looking at the color card. I did check other sites for this and they had this one listed for 253. Conversions came be tricky at times. I am working on "Freedom" by Bucilla. I always convert the floss from kits since I don't ever want to run out of their colors. I haven't had an issue with Dimensions or Bucilla conversions. I haven't used Anchor floss before but the floss card has come in handy at times when I'm in a pinch.
