I have some original artwork I would like to convert into a graph for cross stitching. Do anyone have any advice?

    Allison,
There are two excellent programs that help in converting pictures into patterns - PCStitch - www.pcstitch.com - and myRiaCross - www.myriacross.com. I've only used PCStitch so I can't compare to myriaCross. The conversion does not create a back-stitched pattern so if you want back stitches, you will have to add manually.

Another technique that I prefer is to use with PCStitch is to use the image as a background and then manually add back stitches and other stitches. This works for small pieces but would be difficult if you wanted to create a pattern from a photo. Go to top
