Has anyone tried using a product called EASY COUNT GRIDELINE by R & S Designs? It is supposed to be used to make tracking your stitches much easier.I've tried just making my own grid using left over floss but it gets tangled and I still manage to lose track of where I am. Any other suggestions?

Hi Nancy, Pamn here. I use that guideline and LOVE it. (Frankly, I think your name for it--Gridline--is actually better!) Use can also use a fishing line called Cajun Line Red Cast 10 lb test. It's pretty much the same thing, but one heck of a lot cheaper. I got a 300 yard spool (comes in a red box) at Wal-Mart for around $5.00.
There are all kinds of hinds about using guidelines/gridlines at the Scarlet Quince website (www.scarletquince.com). You will see a banner across the top of the website. Click on solutions and a directory will come up on the left side listing the different ones. All of these are good, but the one on Gridding is the one you want. Floss isn't so good for gridding, there are other inexpensive alternatives to use to grid in color. Gridding in color may just be the ticket to help you. Be sure to "color" your pattern gridlines (with colored marker, for example) to match your fabric. Hope this helps. Live long and prosper, Pamn Go to top
