Trouble Reading Pattern

WARNING - i have several challenges so you may get tired of hearing from me in the next couple of weeks. Today's challenge regards distinguishing symbols on a large pattern. It is 140 x 140 stitches and eleven colors, 8 of them are shades of blue. The pattern has colored squares with symbols. The background is also blue. I have decided not to stitch the background. I have scanned the pattern into my computer. I have blown it up. Still problems keeping on track. I have started copying sections on graph paper using colored pens. Any other suggestions?

    Nancy,

Try using colored pencils and mark off each area/color as you stitch it. When I did a coverall with over 150 colors that's what I had to do to be able to keep track of where I was in the pattern.

    Hope that helps.

Enjoy your day and happy stitching...Judy :) Go to top
