Using a stitch master floor stand on a project where there are multiple thread changes. Tying off the threads are very difficult ; I wonder if I am missing something to make it easier

That's why I prefer a hand held frame or hoop. I never did get the hang of it. Go to top

What is stitch in the ditch?

Try stitch in 10 count grid at a time. You can stitch over the floss until it is needed agai. It is easier to keep track when you are working on one small area at a time.

Is that stitch in the ditch? Go to top

Stitch in the ditch with a hoop or scrolls
Non stitch in the ditch is like a drum with the fabric stretch on the top side.
Assembled: table, small hoop, fabric,Large hoop. Thus it is harder to get needle under the back side of the stitches to secure thread.

Stitch in the ditch goes table, big hoop, fabric, small hoop. then the needle is easier to go through the back side of the stitches to secure.

Maybe it should be called stitch in the pot????

I thought "stitch in the ditch" was a quilting term. I've never heard it used for counted cross stitch. Go to top
