Has anyone every finished an ornament using a 3" round gold hoop frame? If so, what is the best material for using as to cover the back of the cardboard? What kind of ribbon do you use so they can hang the ornament on the tree and how does one attach it? Thanks to everyone for the help.

If you are using the round "plastic" frames, you could put some batting on the back to fill the space and then cut a piece of fabric or felt and glue to the back of the frame.

If the frame doesn't have a tab opening on the top, you could use a piece of ribbon,(about 3", fold in half and knot together), leaving a short piece of the ends. Then glue it to the frame with the knot at the edge of the frame. Do this before putting on the backing.

If the frame has a "tab" on the top with a hole in it, slip a piece of ribbon through the hole and tie a knot.

Hope this helps. Go to top
