A fun quick piece to stitch. The kit came with the overdyed NN floss and the heart. I usually put this up in the front hall for Valentine's.

The only butterfly in this piece is the charm. It was included in this Little Leaf Design along with the Needle Necessities floss. I added the 28 count Sandstone linen, the 8 beads and 2 sizes of DMC perle cotton and floss. Picked out a great frame for this yesterday. A quick stitch and a pretty one also.

From the Feb 07 Just Cross Stitch magazine. Stitched with DMC Color Variations, 2 DMC greens and DMC 712 #12 perle. Stitched on 28 count "coffee" material. I think it's either Jubilee or Jobelan, but more likely Jubilee. The design called for 2 ply 712 floss. Didn't like the look so cut it out and replaced it with the perle.

This is just one band of a floral band sampler, called "An Old Fashioned Garden". A needlework shop I visit in the US had it done this way and I liked it too. Used floss and perle cottons.

I don't know if I'll keep this for myself or it will end up being a gift. Stitched on 28 count cream Meran from Zweigart with DMC floss and NN165. This was from the second or third series of "Flowers & Friends" charts that Elizabeth Foster designed. I saw this stitched up in a LNS in Hamburg, NY and there were none left. Found it on sale in a LNS in Mich. Found it in my house last Fri. and began stitching it right away. There is a lovely 4 flower pewter charm that needs to go in the centre once it's washed and pressed.

I stitched only a portion of the design and changed the colours. I think the black makes it SPOOKIER!
