Crafters for Charity is currently supporting The Fred Hollows Foundation. This foundation was set up in 1992 to cure cataract, trachoma and other forms of treatable blindness and eye problems in people and children from developing nations. Crafters for Charity began in January 2001. The types of crafts that are needed include items of cross-stitch, crochet, knitting, sewing, beading, etc. They recommend donated crafts be lightweight and unbreakable since this cause is based in Melbourne Australia.
