Thread breakage in kits

I have bought 2 kits from the same store and they are from the same manufacturer. I have had several different colors of the thread in the kits break mid stitching. I have searched for a color conversion chart for this brand and there isn't one that I can find. Any suggestions on how to get the floss converted to what I use, DMC? This is really frustrating. Sorry I didn't know if I could name the brand of the kit or not if I can and it will help please let me know.

I think we'd have to know the manufacturer as well as the name of the kits to help you. Oh, and the floss brand too! Go to top

Both kits I am having a problem with are from Artiste. It is not DMC floss it is whatever they give you. It might be possible that it was my needle. Since my original post I have switched out needles to see if that was the problem. So far no floss has shredded but will see. On the kits is says Kooler Design Studio and Zweigart on them. Go to top

Oh my! It's like reading my own story! I received two of the Artiste brand kits from Hobby Lobby for Christmas present and started working on one of them. The packaging has the same designer mark and logo that you described. I cannot use the color brown at all, every single piece freys or breaks apart! I've been trying to do searching on how I can prevent it, if the threads old, or why it's happening because I've never had this issue before and I came across your feed. I've contacted the designer and they emailed me back saying that I have to contact Hobby Lobby because it's their brand. I was thinking of switching out to get a better thread brand and was thinking about needing a conversion chart as well LOL I can let you know what I hear from Hobby Lobby once I speak with them on Monday! I'm super frustrated! This will be such a beautiful piece of art if I can get it to work! Go to top
