Hi all I am new to cross stitching. Have no supplies yet but 1 kit. Not sure where to begin. Where can you find kits and other supplies REAL cheap? I am disabled so can't afford much but wanna get started. Hoping it will help my depression. What are some good tips you would share with me?

Be careful when you buy something REAL CHEAP. You often get what you pay for. If you haven't gotten started yet -- start with a kit from Joann's or Michael's. If you don't have these in your area try WalMart. I, personally, don't buy kits. I like to pick my own materials. Go to your local library. They will have pattern books. Start with something easy -- not too many colors and simple shapes. Wait for sales. Build up your collection slowly. Go to top
