Order it online. I prefer it this way because they always have what you want. This is my site of choice:

I had a similar problem, but you may have a Hobby Lobby close by or an A.C. Moore both of them carry the DMC floss. Good Luck! Go to top

Hello! I have plenty of DMC floss and would like to get rid of some colors I have an over abundance. If you need any particular color and I have over abundance, I'd be glad to share. I just finished organizing by color category.

I'm trying to locate a conversation chart of Crescent Colours to DMC. If anyone knows of a place, would you please let me know. I stitch mostly on 28 ct. linen.

Thanx and happy stitching, Kathy Go to top

The same thing has happened with my Wal-Mart, too. It really ticks me off. I hated paying the high shipping costs of ordering a few skeins of thread online, so I shopped around and found a site last week with very low shipping. Shipping is only like $2 but they take forever to ship. I ordered 8 skeins on July 9th and got notice yesterday that it should arrive tomorrow. https://laurelsstitchery.com/

I think stitchers should unite in a protest to Wal-Mart. Both my local Wal-Marts had an excellent selection of all craft and needlework items until they re-opened as "Super" Wal-Marts. Then the Craft Department became the craft aisle. Both store declined dramatically in cleanliness and customers service too. Go to top

I totally agree with you Jennifer. The exact same thing happened at our store. It makes me sick. How could we do this? I'm in. Go to top

is there a jo-ann fabrics or michaels near You? I have the same complaint with walmart about discontinuing numbers and not knowing what color could be substituted. they seem to think that just because craft items are not as profitable, they shouldn't be stocked. They are doing the same thing with the quilting material in some stores. I just hate it when you ask the manager about this and they DON't know ANYTHING about it. Go to top

The WalMart here where I live is selling theirs for 10? each. I have been tempted to stock on some but I have so much now and extras that were given to me I hate to get more but that is such a good price. If I can get away without hubby I will probably get some of it if there are any left. But I don't think there are many here in this small town that cross stitch. Go to top

My 3 local WalMarts are doing the same thing (south/central Ohio). This can be both good and bad. Good because I bought out everything I could get my hands on for 10 cents each; bad because this probably means they are no longer going to carry DMC floss. In all three stores the little plastic spinning displays was nearly empty. I got about 20 assorted colors at each store. Go to top

Well the plastic spinners are all gone and they only had a very few colors left. They did away with the charts and the kits, and they aida. There was only maybe a handful left. Its sad because they are the only store around here that carry it. But I have all the colors and a lot of extras that were given to me. Now I'll have to go to Hobby Lobby to get my thread when I need more and they are out of town. Oh well I should be allright fot a while. Go to top
