I use PCstitch7. I have the upgrade to 9, but can't use it. It has some features that I don't like. I am satisfied with 7 though.
Here are some of the Charts that I have made with it. Go to top

I have just started to try out pattern programs. So far I like one called
Pattern Maker for cross stitch V.4. I have not tried out many. I like it
because I can take my favorite pictures and turn them into a pattern. I have
not tried many programs yet though. There are probably even better ones out
    there. Go to top

I have purchased and used the following programs: PC Stitch 5,6,7 & Pro; Cross Stitch Professional; DigiStitch; Pattern Maker Pro; and Easy Cross. Out of all these I use Easy Cross. It is (to me) the best program for cross stitch. I use the Enterprise Edition. It allows me to customize every aspect of designing. I am able to make machine embroidery designs as well as hand cross stitch the ease. Hope you find one you like. Go to top

I have Jane Greenoff's IStitch and It's much easier to learn and use compared to PC Stitch. JMHO. Go to top
