Converting Anchor colors to DMC

Hi. I've been working on a baby bib for a friend's cousin. They gave the color number but in anchor. So I did a conversion chart and two of the colors do not look good together. The rest of it does. As I was doing more research I have found a few different conversion charts and some of them are different colors. The color I have already done is DMC 996 Medium Electric Blue for an outline for a little chickadee bird. It's supposed to be a lighter blue in the middle. The whole bird is done except filling in the last blue. Does anyone have a suggestion to use with the 996 that is lighter and would look good with it? I'm just trying to finish the bib so I can give as a gift. Thanks in advance.

I checked my DMC "Color Family" list and, unfortunately, there is no lighter shade of Electric Blue (only 3846 Electric Blue, 996 Medium Electric Blue, and 995 Dark Electric Blue). Are there any other light blues in your cross stitch you could use? Or maybe consider 827 Very Lt Blue? Matching colors is always a tricky business--good luck! Go to top
