cross stitching question

I hope I can explain my question well enough. I am working on a dimensions kit of a winter scene. The sky is made up of 1/2 stitches of one color. Some stitches are done using 2 strand of thread and some are made up using 4 strands. Would it be wise to thread my needle with 2 strands of thread and when I reach a spot that requires 4 strands go over it twice? I found this easier but as this is a kit I don't want to waste thread. Also, the post about using fish line for gridding, what a great tip. I always grid my work and will try this. Thanks, Marilu

That is the way that I have always done it. I cannot imagine that the method would waste thread. Good luck with it. Go to top
