Help with a baby quilt

I have a pre-stamped and pre-quilted baby quilt. I could use some tips. I don't want the stitches to show on the back. So I guess you can't knot the thread to begin. But how do you hide the tail of the thread?

I do these all the time and have found the best way is to feed the floss between the layers for about 4 stitches to start and then "cross" back over to secure. I use the same method for the end of the thread - either go back under the last stitches or the next line if possible as I find "over stitching" seems to be more secure. Hope that made sense Go to top

I'm doing a baby quilt like that as well. I just bought a piece of fleece fabric to sew on to cover the back. I will try the suggestion by Monica on my next one. Go to top
