I recently contacted Vervaco about a color of floss I was about to run out of. They were very nice and gave me the DMC number for that color, but also said that they do not usually give out DMC numbers for their kits. They are concerned about kits being duplicated.

That having been said, I took samples of the floss from the kit and was able to match most of them up to DMC floss I have in my collection. While I do not advocate duplicating kits, this would be one way that you could get the DMC numbers.

    Hope this helps,

Mike -- that is an excellent idea about saving pieces of leftover floss from kits to match up with DMC in the future. Wondering. Do you tape these snippets to a piece of paper to keep better organized? Go to top

I usually just keep the card that I used to separate the floss while working the kit. I make a note on the card about which kit the floss was used on.

      Hope this helps,
