New Aida is Warped

I recently bought a kit and discovered the aida fabric is badly warped. I grid my larger pieces by running sewing threads 10 blocks apart in both directions to make counting easier and safer. I found that the weave is badly warped. Should I straighten it before I start stitching, and how?

    Cathy,
I'm not sure this would work for you but I soak fabric before stitching when it has been warped or has creases in it. I soak for several hours or overnight.

If soaking and ironing don’t work, recommend you buy a new piece of fabric from a reputable needlework shop. Go to top
