I have a baby announcement/ birth record that is counted cross stitch. Is there a special way to figure out how to center the name, weight and date on the project? The project comes with the graph for alphabet and numbers however it just says to make sure it is centered but doesn't give any clue as to a way to do so. Help please.

Hand print each line on a piece of paper. It is easier if you use graph paper. If you don't have any you can GOOGLE a free sheet. Count the number of squares (including spaces) on each line. Divide by 2. Mark the stitch that is in the middle. Find the center of the area you want to stitch. Start at the CENTER and stitch outward from middle to beginning and middle to end. Go to top

You are welcome. Thank you for letting me know that it worked for you. Over the past year I have replied to more than a dozen posters on this and other boards asking advice or -- "desperately" looking for a specific pattern. No responses. Even a "thanks but no thanks" would have been appreciated. Go to top
