Varagated floss

I am going to start a baby blanket soon. I'm going to do a simple rocking horse. The horse has a mane saddle and a tail, and all the normal things a horse has. My question is I want to do it in varagaded colors.
So should I do the body in varagaded and everything else with a color that matches or the other way around. I have never worked with varagaded floss before. Thanks

That's a toughie. I'm thinking that the horse would be the variegated floss being that is the main focal point of the pattern. If you choose to go that route add enough room on the fabric and use the same variegated floss to make a frame around the finished area. I think that would pull the whole thing together better. Then don't forget to add an extra three inches on each side so it can be framed. (That's six inches more width and six inches more height) Go to top
