I just saw a discussion about using Altoid Tins to put finished designs on. Can anyone tell me more about this finishing technique? Do you use a batting between the material and the tin? Are there any special preparations needed? What is the best way to afix the design to the tin? TIA!

I use a thin mountingboard, I hot gluegun a little bit of batting on the mounting board, place the stitched piece over it and I use stick pin's to hold the fabric down on the edge of the board, make any adjustment's to make the design straight then hotglue gun the excess fabric to the bottom of the board then hot glue gun the whole piece to the top of the tin and Hot Glue gun cording around the base of the stitched piece.
