Does anyone know what causes some pictures to show up in an orange color kind of a gold glow?Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I would sure appreciate some answers. Thank you

I have a good digital camera that has lots of different settings. I have no idea how to use most of them. Most of my pix come out redder than I would like them. The faces always look sunburn! I can usually fix them by editing the color after I transfer them to the PC. I add a little yellow and either brighten it a little or lower the saturation color a little.
