Has Anyone Used This?

I am currently working on a project for a Silver Wedding Anniversary Sampler. I purchased the DMC metallic silver #30145. This is different to any thread I have used in the past. Tried to use it as usual - but it seems to kink badly. Project is being stitched on evenweave linen 28ct. Any suggests on this product? My deadline is 3 weeks from now. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Try dampening the floss. Not wet just a little damp and it will help stop the kinking. Also use shorter lengths. There is a product out called stitch heaven and running it across that will help also. Instead of using DMC silver I use Kreinik #4 very fine braid. It's a lot easier to work with.

Thanks Estelle - I will try to dampen the floss. Fortunately I only plan to use it as an accent so I will not be using very long lengths. However I have not yet come across the Kreinik braid, do you get it at a specialty store? Usually I get supplies from the Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart or Michaels. Should I use a single strand or double or the DMC metallic?
