FYI Mill Hill use to package their beads 500 per pkg. Now it depends on what color you are using how they are packaged. I'm using one that is suppose to be approc. 250 per package and believe me there aren't that many in the package. I just ran out for the second time and had to order more.

Estelle,
Thanks for letting everyone know about this. Do you know why Mill Hill made this change?

No, Anita, I don't know why. But if you go to their web site and look up different seed beads you'll see some are 250, some are 400 some are 500. The ones I'm using are suppose to be 250 and I think their filling machine must have been broke. It's bead 02012.

Hi you two. If you look at very old packages of the Mill Hill beads, it appears they must have used a different method of packaging. Now it's by weight. Perhaps different styles and types might be heavier than others and that's why there are less???

Wichelt Imports bought the Mill Hill company a few years ago and was wondering when changes would be made. Maybe this is one of the changes Wichelt Imports decided to make. I haven't bought any new beads lately but will notice this when I do.
