Hi, I took up cross stitch a couple of months ago. Would love to hear from others in a similar situation or would like any advice.

My best advise...never resist buying a pattern. I did earlier in my stitching, and found that they will haunt you latter. Also don't be afraid to cut and paste designs from one pattern and another...to create your own expression. Same hold true for changing out thread colors... Go to top

    Hi Pat,

Now the fun begins collecting patterns, floss and fabric. There is so many fun choices to make.

I found stitching a bit frustrating at first. I was always making mistakes. My best advice is when working on a larger pattern, make yourself one copy. I have a box of pencil crayons that I use to mark off what I have stitched, using a different color for different symbols on the pattern. This way I rarely have to frog out any mistakes. Go to top
