I have already started my Easter Celebration by giving my neighbors stitched Biblemarkers....

and this Thursday...I will be teaching my Bible Study Coffee Break group how to cross stitch. Have designed a pattern of a Cross (DMC729),cut into 9" pieces of Gold trim Ribband (7/8"),frayed check the ends, and threaded and placed a needle to get them started. (I am even bringing my lamp and magnifier for one of the elderly lady) Wish me success.

      Debbie,
I hope your neighbors enjoyed their bookmarks. Do you cover your backs with anything? I stitch bookmarks for charity and don't cover my backs with anything. As for the class, will this be your first one to teach them cross stitching? If so, I hope all goes well. It appears you have everything needed for the group. Good luck and have fun!

        Anita,

One neighbor was very insistent about not putting it in her Bible...and the two extra I gave her for her mother and sister...well she insisted that she was going to give them to a cousin and a neice in law...(don't know what she will be doing with them now since she got sick the morning of her plane trip and had to cancell it) I told her that I gifted them to her... and that I have snippers to cut the threads...so no gifts that I give have strings attached.

I don't cover my backs, since my stitches are neat...But mainly because I think that the Ribband is thick enough...and I don't want them too thick in case they do use it in the delicate pages in a Bible.

        The class was a success!

        Happy Easter Everyone!

          Debbie,
I'm glad the class went well. I'm sorry your neighbor got sick and hope she's feeling better soon.
