In response to an email I wrote to the XSer magazine, I got this reply:

The February issue will be last issue of The Cross Stitcher in its current magazine format.

The All New Crafts n things will be replacing all of our craft magazines -- combining all four titles: Crafts 'n things, Pack-o-Fun, The Cross Stitcher, and Painting into one publication.

The first issue of the new Crafts n things publication is scheduled to mail out January 28, 2011.

Each issue will include a variety of techniques and craft projects for home, garden and beyond, as well as great gift giving ideas. Plus, we will have a Cross Stitcher section in every issue.

As of right now, you can subscribe to Crafts 'n things for $21.97 a year. This rate may go up, so let me know if you would like to subscribe now.

I've heard quite a bit about other cross stitch magazines changing the way their publications have been in the past. I don't subscribe to any but look at them in the book stores and it appears to me that some are not putting as many patterns in the magazines are they used to. I'll enjoy my older issues after hearing the complaints I've heard about current issues. Go to top

You are so right. I'm letting my subscription run out because they keep cutting pages and the price goes up. I have several years of back issues to keep me occupied. Go to top

I called them when I got the magazine and it wasn't cross stitch. They said that is the way it will be and I said well you just lost a whole lot of people. I will not renew and I am sure others will not either. They didn't seem to care.
I have over 10 yrs of their magazines. It is the only one I still get. Go to top
