Hi guys please could someone help?? I have lots of anchor threads that I'm trying to convert as the pattern I have is in DMC but the problem I have is that the anchor threads I have seem to be none existent :( I have codes such as 599/542/831 there are lots more but every chart I find all these codes are missing! I'm soo confused please can someone help point me in right direction?! I'm guessing they r very old threads but surely there should be somewhere that I can find the new codes of them :( I have managed to find a site that converts the old anchor to new but again they are missing! Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    Sam,
I have the Anchor floss card and none of those numbers are on it. However, on the back of this card is the Coats & Clark phone number which is 1-800-648-1479. I hope this helps.

Sam, I think I just may be able to help you. I was recently e-mailed the back of a 1962 Anchor color card and it has the old numbers on it. I checked, and it has the three you mentioned in your post. We can do this a couple of ways: you could email me the Old Numbers you are trying to convert and I'll email you back the new numbers and their DMC equivalent numbers. Or you could email me your snail mail address and I could snail mail you a copy of this color card. My email address is: pravenscroft@yahoo.com. We can do this!.

Hi Sam, Pamn here. Oh, dear--I may have spoken too soon. I found the number equivalents on the list I have: 599 changed to 021, 542 changed to 07, 831 changed to 813. Problem is, those new numbers are not in the latest Anchor Color list!.

There is no 021; but 20 is Medium Dark Burgundy, 22 is Very Dark Burgundy
There is no 07; but 6 is Very Light Salmon, 8 is Light Salmon
There is no 813; but there IS an 831 it is Light Sierra (a light taupey tan.

I have color cards for both DMC and Anchor. If you'd like, send me your old number list and I'll take my color cards out in the sunlight and see if I can do some color matching for you. I know how frustrating this can all be. I don't know if I can find it on the Internet, but it seems I once saw a list of Anchor colors that were discontinued. I'll check that out as well.
