Birth Record Sampler

I am in desperate need of a "non-living" birth record sampler for my new nephew who will be here in October 2015. He will be born in Qatar. I can not put anything on the sampler that represents a breathing object. I am having lots of trouble finding something cute with a train, soccer ball, wagon, or tricycle. If anyone has any ideas I am sure open to them. Thank you, Cindi

Design your own. Download a good program for creating patterns (I use PCStitch). Google specific pattern types-such as trains, balls, etc (whatever items you want in your pattern). There are a lot of web sites that offer free patterns (search 'free cross stitch train patterns', for example. Or if you don't have internet access, go to your local library. After you find whatever small images you want in your sampler, use the program to put them all together to create your sampler. It might take a while to get used to the program, but it's worth it. I make my own patterns almost exclusively now, just because it is so time consuming trying to find just the right thing. I realize that you don't have a lot of time, so this might not work for you. Another idea is to just go to your library and look through the books there. Or your local used bookstore. I have spent hours looking through books and magazines in bookstores looking for specific patterns. Good luck! Go to top
