Help with Candamar kits

I recently purchased a kit for Thomas Kinkade's Light of Peace Counted Cross stitch. The kit was copyrighted in 1997. This kit has a bunch of floss all bundled together so when i tried to go online to look at thread colors trying to match them with The colors that I have somehow the color name and the shades where different.

For an example...
In my chart, the color 6188 is medium gray but when i looked up online on your website for color conversions of candamar to dmc thread it came up to be light gray green.

Please help me find the right colors, I am confused. I need to match them and if needed buy more floss.

Thanks =)

    With the exception of Design Works, the color names are for DMC colors so they will likely never match the other company's names. The Candamar conversions came directly from the company and if you have issues with these conversions, you need to contact them directly.

      Hi Anita =)

      Thanks for the reply. I know that they are not the same company so the names would never be the same but I did forget to mention in my query that the floss colors are not the same. I did contact candamar designs and waiting on a reply. I know they use Anton floss but I cannot find anton floss for sale anywhere. Go to top

    I have the kit for Thomas Kinkade " Light of Peace" but have lost the pattern.
    Do you still have the pattern ??

    Kind regards

    I would separate all the floss. Match like threads. Then, using the color chart (with the color names), try to match the colors as best you can. That's what I have done with these types of kits. Go to top
