Lettering on pattern.

I am stitching a pattern that is to be a wedding gift. It is standard cross stitch and half stitch in background. But, there is black lettering in forefront which says "Happy Ever After". Problem is that the pattern called for 14 count aida but the lettering is free hand writing. How do I achieve this look as it doesn't go stitch to stitch?

    Gayle,

I have stitched this chart and you put the wording right on top of the cross stitch. It is done like backstitching and if you follow the chart it will work out. Hope that helps. Happy stitching...Judy :) Go to top
