Back Crafters for Charity

Stitched by Anita in Texas

Crafters for Charity is currently supporting The Fred Hollows Foundation. This foundation was set up in 1992 to cure cataract, trachoma and other forms of treatable blindness and eye problems in people and children from developing nations. Crafters for Charity began in January 2001 and as of 2008 the crafters have topped the $30,000 mark! The types of crafts that are needed include items of cross-stitch, crochet, knitting, sewing, beading, etc. They recommend donated crafts be lightweight and unbreakable since this cause is based in Melbourne Australia.

Instructions

  1. There are no requirements on what can be stitched. You may select whatever you think will sell well.
  2. Finish your stitched project as something that can be immediately sold like an ornament, bookmark, card, magnet, etc. See our Finishing Techniques page for ideas.
  3. Remember if you stitch for this cause, please keep in mind that stitched projects sell much better without any initials or year on them.
  4. Email Cathy to obtain her postal address in Australia once your project is completed and finished.

NOTE: For individuals in the U.S. or Canada, you can also send to me and I will forward to Cathy. Let me know via the
    Comments page.
